2018 NCAA Night Panel
Thank you so much to all the presenters, parents and students who came out to our NCAA Information Night last night. We had Athletic Department representatives from University of Georgia, Morehouse, Oglethorpe and University of North Georgia. We were able to capture a portion of the UGA presentation via You Tube. - https://youtu.be/FCmz3eiqW7o Also attached is the Powerpoint Provided and Handouts. Key takeaways were for STUDENTS (not necessarily parents) as early as 8th grade to follow coaches on Social Media, reach out to coaches via Social Media & Email, be brief, let them know what tournaments/competitions you will be in near them, share some type of website with your GPA, test scores, extra curriculars, athletic stats and videos. Also, play AAU, Club teams, etc. as early as possible outside of MS and HS sports for the best exposure. College Student Athletes encouraged students to be a leader, give your best effort, be sure to clean up your social media presence and work hard in the classroom and on the field.
